While updating my iphone froze
After going through the download and install process over Wi-Fi, the i Phone showed an error window and indicated you needed to plug it into i Tunes on your computer.
Connecting it to the computer brought up another error window that said, "There is a problem with the i Phone 'i Phone' that requires it to be updated or restored." The message indicated you might have been able to fix the problem by updating your phone, but if the update didn't work, you might have had to restore your phone to factory settings, which erases all content and settings.
Eventually, I was able to update to i OS 10 through i Tunes.
But i OS often has bugs when it first hits the market, making it prudent for users to wait a few days before downloading.i Phone owners also reported issues with Touch ID after downloading the update, with some noting the feature -- which allows people to unlock their phones using their fingerprints -- was no longer working.Apple ended up pulling the i OS 8.0.1 update an hour after releasing it.(Rebooting is a good step to help prevent problems before updating computer or mobile device.) Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears. When you see the Apple logo, release the Sleep/Wake button. If your i Pad seems to be stuck or frozen after you attempt to update the i OS, try a hard reset.Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button until the screen goes blank. Be patient as the Apple logo appears and your i Pad comes back to life.
i Tunes will say that it has detected an i Phone in recovery mode and offer to restore it back to factory settings.
